About this homestay
Kia ora.
Our six-bedroom house has four large rooms and two smaller. So board ranges from $225, for the smallest (king single), $250 for the next, and $275 each for the larger rooms. Four rooms are upstairs and share one bathroom. Two rooms are downstairs with another shared bathroom.
Laundry facilities and outdoor spaces are provided along with wifi. Evening meals, which are cooked for you, are a nice opportunity to connect. Help yourself to snacks, breakfast and lunch.
In the winter, the house is heated by a logfire, with heaters in individual rooms, and electric blankets.
Apart from most meals, we are 'hands-off' hosts and travel frequently, so there will be nights when our guests organise evening meals among themselves. Everyone is friendly and we hope to encourage a sense of family. We call our home the 'HOUSE OF FAVOUR'.

From May this year we have one upstairs rooms available, with a shared bathroom shared with two other guests. The room is furnished with a large dresser, bedside cabinet, built in wardrobe and a cosy queen bed.
We are near bus routes to the city, river and wetlands walks, gym and aqua centre.
I work part time as a teacher aide, while Keith is retired. His hobbies are fishing and his back yard. Mine are music and craft.
We've hosted many international guests, as well as locals. With lots of family and grandkis around, there's never a dull moment.
